Renault Wind Engine Power Loss
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Renault Wind is experiencing engine power loss and a check engine light is on. The issue may be related to the throttle valve or the accelerator pedal module. A similar problem in another vehicle was resolved by addressing a faulty throttle body, suggesting that checking the air intake and throttle components could be beneficial. It is recommended to have the vehicle inspected by a professional to accurately diagnose and resolve the issue.

Throttle body, huh? Was it a pain to diagnose? And did it affect your fuel efficiency or engine idling?

Diagnosis wasn't too bad, but I didn't do it myself. My mechanic said it was either the pedal module or electronics inside the throttle valve itself, affecting response delay. Best to get it checked at a workshop, it cost me 265€.

Thanks! I appreciate the help. I'll take it to the shop and see what they say. Hopefully, it's just the throttle valve. They said it was the accelerator pedal module, exactly as you said!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my old Opel Corsa. Reduced power, check engine light... turned out to be a faulty throttle body. Have you checked the air intake for any obstructions?
