Renault Wind exhaust back pressure sensor malfunction

My 2011 Renault Wind (gasoline engine) has an exhaust back pressure sensor issue. Warning light on the speedometer, smoke on acceleration, and DPF regeneration is impossible. Anyone seen this before? Suspect the sensor.

I had similar issues with my Wind. Warning lights, smoke... the whole shebang. Seems like Renault might have skimped on parts. I changed the sensor a couple of times. Did you check the sensor's wiring harness for any damage?

Thanks! Good to know I am not the only one. What do you mean by 'a couple of times'? Did the same issue reappear after replacing the sensor? How long did the replacement last?

Yeah, the problem came back after about a year. The replacement sensor probably wasn't OEM, which might explain it. Honestly, just take it to a workshop. They can diagnose it properly and use a reliable sensor. I ended up doing that, and it solved the problem once and for all.

Understood. I appreciate the insight. I'll schedule an appointment with a workshop to have it properly diagnosed and repaired. The repair cost should be around 245€. Thank you for sharing your experience.
