Renault Wind MAF sensor issue

Thanks for the tip! I haven't checked the air filter yet. So, if the air filter is dirty, it can cause the mass air flow sensor to give incorrect readings, leading to the check engine light and other symptoms?

Exactly. A clogged filter restricts airflow. If it’s not the filter, it might be the MAF sensor itself. From what you describe, it’s probably the sensor. I ended up going to a workshop to have it diagnosed and replaced.

Thanks, that’s helpful! I'll start by checking the air filter. If that doesn't solve the problem, I'll take it to a workshop and have them check the mass air flow sensor. I will post what I find. It turned out the MAF sensor was indeed faulty. The repair cost me 365€.

I had something similar happen with my Wind. Higher fuel consumption, check engine light, and sluggish performance. Did you check your air filter? A dirty air filter can mess with the air-fuel ratio, which then affects the mass air flow readings.
