Renault Wind parking heater malfunction
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Renault Wind owner is experiencing a malfunction with the parking heater, which cannot be activated and has an error stored in the memory. The owner suspects a defective glow plug as the cause. Another Renault Wind owner shared a similar experience, where the issue was confirmed to be the glow plug by a workshop. It is suggested to have the vehicle professionally checked to confirm the problem and avoid further complications.

Thanks for the quick response! No issues with the heat control inside, works perfectly. Just the parking heater is giving me grief. Was it definitely the glow plug in your case, or could it be something else like the blower motor?

Yep, pretty sure it was the glow plug, as the workshop confirmed. It's worth getting it checked out professionally, as it could be a bit more complex than just a simple glow plug replacement. They quoted me around 440€ for the repair. Could save you some time and headache.

Thank you for sharing your experience! I'll take it to the workshop and have them check the glow plug and any other potential issues. Hopefully, it will be resolved soon. Will post a resolution after the repair.

Hey there! I also drive a Wind and had something similar happen last winter. The parking heater refused to start and threw an error. Did you notice any issues with the heat control inside the car before the parking heater packed up?
