Renault Wind reduced engine power
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Renault Wind experienced reduced engine power, with a diagnostic tool indicating an error in the memory. The issue was suspected to be related to previous chip tuning. After consulting a workshop, it was confirmed that faulty chip tuning was the cause. The problem was resolved by removing the tuning and re-flashing the ECU, restoring the car's performance.

Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, I did get a fault code, but I didn't write it down immediately. I'll check it again. So, was your issue definitely related to the tuning, or could it be something else?

Definitely the tuning. Once I had it removed, everything went back to normal. It's like those cheap tunings promise the moon but deliver a crater! Best to get it checked out by a workshop, they'll know what to do.

Thanks a lot for the help! You were right, I went to the workshop, and they confirmed it was a faulty chip tuning. They removed it and re-flashed the ECU. Cost me 180€, but now it runs perfectly again! Appreciate your advice!

Hey! I had something similar with my Wind. Did you get any specific fault codes when you did the car diagnostic? Mine was acting like it had a clogged fuel filter, but it wasn't that.
