Renault Wind sunblind jammed

My 2010 Renault Wind, gasoline engine, is giving me grief. The sunblind is completely jammed. Won't retract, won't extend, just stuck. The computer's thrown an error, which I suspect points to the sunblind motor. Anyone else seen this?

Renault Wind, you say? I had similar issues with my Wind's sunblind a while back. Was yours making any odd noises before it packed it in completely? Was it particularly slow recently?

Odd noises? Now that you mention it, there was a bit of a grinding sound for a week or two, I thought nothing of it! Slow? Yes, I noticed that too. What was the outcome with yours?

Yep, sounds familiar. The grinding is a classic sign the motor's on its way out. If it was slow as well it confirms it. Bit the bullet, had to take it to the shop. They replaced the motor. Get it checked, before you do further damage.
