Renault Wind Tire Pressure ABS and Steering Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Renault Wind owner experienced persistent tire pressure warnings, ABS light activation, and steering issues despite inflating the tires and checking for punctures. The problem was suspected to be related to faulty tire pressure sensors, which are integrated into the tire valves. It was advised to visit a workshop for proper diagnosis and repair. The issue was resolved by replacing a defective valve, recalibrating the system, and the car returned to normal functioning.

Tire pressure sensors, huh? I didn't even think of that. Where are those located exactly? And is there any way to test them myself, or do I need special equipment?

The sensors are integrated into the tire valves themselves. Honestly, testing them properly requires specialized tools. Given all the symptoms you're describing – the ABS, the steering, the persistent warning even after inflating – I'd strongly suggest taking it to a workshop. It could be a faulty valve causing pressure loss and messing with the ABS system. Don't risk driving it too much in that condition.

Thanks a bunch for the advice! I took it to a local shop, and you were spot on. Turns out it was a defective valve in one of the tires. They replaced it, recalibrated everything, and the total cost was around 280€. Everything is working perfectly now! Really appreciate the help.

I had a similar issue with my Wind. The low tire pressure light, ABS warning, and steering problems all at once? Sounds familiar. Did you check the tire pressure sensors? Sometimes they go bad.
