Renault Wind Tire Pressure Warning Light

I've got a 2012 Renault Wind with a gasoline engine and recently the low tire warning light keeps popping up. The display shows 'Tire Pressure Too Low' and I've also pulled the error code via OBD. States a sensor fault. I've checked the tire pressures and they're all good, inflated them a bit more but the error persists. My gut feeling says it's probably the sensor battery giving up after all these years. Anyone else experienced similar?

Sounds familiar. I had the exact same thing happen on my old Opel Astra. Kept getting low tire warnings even though the pressures were fine. Did you try resetting the TPMS?

Yeah, tried resetting it a bunch of times following the procedure in the owner's manual, but no luck. The error always comes back after a short drive. Was it definitely the sensor in your case?

Yep, turned out to be a faulty sensor. After some research, I decided to take it to the workshop for diagnosis, they confirmed it. I would suggest to do the same.

Thanks for the info. Took it to my local shop and they confirmed it was a dead sensor, as suspected. Cost me 280€ for a new sensor fitted and programmed. All sorted now!
