Renault Wind Transport Mode Active
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Renault Wind is experiencing electrical issues with a 'Transport Mode Active' message on the dashboard, affecting the satnav and central locking. This mode, which restricts functions during shipping, was likely triggered by a recent battery disconnection. The solution requires a Renault diagnostic tool and software reset, which can be performed at a Renault workshop, typically at no cost.

Battery was disconnected briefly last week. Didn't think much of it then. So, you reckon that's it? And did you manage to fix it yourself, or was it a trip to the garage?

Yes, the battery disconnection is likely the cause. There is no way to deactivate transport mode yourself. A Renault diagnostic tool is needed to reset the car's settings. A software installation from Renault is also needed. I suggest contacting your local Renault workshop. They should be able to resolve it quickly and the repair shouldn't cost anything.

Thanks for the insight. Sounds like a trip to the dealer is unavoidable. Just spoke to them, and they confirmed it's a software issue triggered by the battery disconnect. They said it's a quick fix, shouldn't cost anything. Will report back.

I had a similar issue with my Wind. The 'Transport Mode Active' message appeared after the battery was disconnected for a long time. This mode restricts car functions during shipping, and it seems our cars sometimes get stuck in it. Did you recently replace or disconnect your battery? Are all other electric consumers working as expected? Maybe there's a short circuit somewhere.
