Request for Advice on Central Locking and Fob Issues in 2021 Mazda CX30 Diesel

Locking/Unlocking issue

Key fob issues

Hey! I've got a 2021 Mazda CX30 diesel that's been acting up lately. Particularly, I'm dealing with some lock/unlock glitches and fob problems. I'm thinking it might be an issue with the central locking. Has anyone else experienced something similar with their Mazda? I'm keen to hear your troubleshooting stories and how you managed to get it resolved at the shop. Any pointers would be appreciated, cheers!

Hey there! Sounds kinda like an issue I had with my 2019 Mazda CX3, close cousin eh? Now, I'm no car genius, just got some experience here and there. Turned out my problem was a defective cable connection messing with the central lock. Visit to local garage sorted me out - cost me about €155, but they got the job done. To help you better, could you share more details? Like whether there are specific times it acts up or if there are any sounds? Every bit of info could help my!

Hey! Appreciate the response. Not eureka yet for my little headache. I've noticed the issue being quite unusual, but more frequent after long rides with my Mazda. My mileage is around 155,617 KM - drove quite a bit since the last service in December. Let's mention that there are no peculiar sounds, just the fob sometimes refusing to cooperate, requiring multiple clicks to lock/unlock the doors. Hope this rings a bell and cheers for helping me out!

Hey again! Sounds like you have yourself quite the mystery. My Mazda episode was different, as I had some funky sounds going. Few pointers though. First off, good old batteries. Yes, they can kick up a fuss. I'd replace the one in the fob if you haven't yet. A weak battery can sometimes act like a moody kid, unreliable and erratic. Secondly, your mileage brings another suspect into light. The receiver in the car could be wearing down considering the long hauls you've made. Though this is less likely, it’s a possibility. Lastly, long shots, check two more things - interference from other devices and dirty fob contacts can sometimes cause issues. You wouldn't believe the trouble a wee bit of grime can cause. Take the car into a reliable garage and get them to run diagnostics. Unfortunately, sometimes you just have to bite the bullet. Don’t worry though, nothing lasts forever...not even car problems! Keep me posted!

Thanks a bunch for your tips! Never considered the battery could be the deceptive culprit, I'll give it a whirl. I'll also be sure to check on those other points. If all else fails, I suppose a garage visit wouldn't hurt, right? Appreciate you taking the time for this, it's given me a clearer picture, at least. Will let you know how it goes. Until then, safe driving! Cheers!
