Ridgeline Anti-Theft Alarm Malfunction
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Honda Ridgeline owner experienced a malfunction with the anti-theft alarm system, which was non-functional and showed a stored error. Another individual with a similar issue suggested that the problem might be related to the alarm being coded to activate the optical locking (indicators). The owner took the vehicle to a workshop, where this was confirmed as the root cause, and the issue was resolved.

Thank you for your reply. Can you please elaborate on how you determined that the alarm was coded to activate the optical locking, and what steps you took to resolve the problem?

I didn't determine it myself, but the workshop identified it as the root cause. I would suggest visiting a workshop, as it seems to be a common issue.

Thank you for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and it turned out the alarm system was indeed coded to activate the optical locking. The repair cost was 45€. Problem solved!

I had something similar with my Ridgeline. Does the alarm seem to be coded to activate the optical locking (indicators)? That was the root cause for me.
