Ridgeline Oil Level Sensor Error

I'm experiencing an issue with my 2019 Honda Ridgeline with a gasoline engine. It's throwing an error message on the speedometer and storing an error in the memory related to the oil level sensor - sometimes the oil pressure warning lamp lights up too. The truck has 209799 km on it. I suspect it could be a defective cable or plug connection to the sensor. Has anyone else encountered this?

Summary of the thread

A 2019 Honda Ridgeline is experiencing an oil level sensor error, with occasional oil pressure warning lights. The issue may stem from a defective cable or plug connection to the sensor. A possible solution involves checking the connection near the oil pan for loose or corroded plugs, which might require removing a skid plate. If unsure, consulting a workshop for proper diagnosis and repair is recommended.

I had a similar issue with my Ridgeline. Is the oil level actually low, or is it just the sensor acting up? It could be a bad sensor, or like you said, a wiring issue. Check the connection first. Sometimes it's just a loose or corroded plug.

Thanks for the quick reply. The oil level seems fine upon visual inspection of the dipstick. Where exactly should I be looking for this plug connection? Is it easily accessible, or do I need to remove anything to get to it?

If the level is okay, it definitely points to the sensor or wiring. The connection is usually near the oil pan. Getting to it might require removing a skid plate, depending on your configuration. But honestly, if you're not comfortable poking around, it might be best to take it to a workshop. At the very least, they can diagnose it properly. It cost me 95€ in the workshop to fix it.

Appreciate the advice. I think I'll take it to the workshop, as you suggested. I'd rather not risk messing something up further. Thanks again for the help!
