Ridgeline Stalling at Idle
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Honda Ridgeline is experiencing stalling at idle and a check engine light is on, suggesting a potential issue with engine performance. Possible causes include a faulty fuel volume regulator or a defective high-pressure pump. A similar issue in another vehicle was resolved by addressing faulty sensors related to the high-pressure pump, indicating that sensor malfunction could also be a contributing factor. The recommended solution is to have the vehicle inspected by a professional to diagnose and fix the problem, potentially involving sensor or pump repairs.

Sensors, huh? Okay, interesting! The Ridgeline has 123646 km on it. Which sensors were causing the trouble on your Citroen? Was it expensive to fix? I'm trying to avoid a costly bill, you know!

Yeah, I think it was a faulty car sensor on the high pressure pump. If the engine misfires, there is a high probability of the high pressure pump being defective. Unfortunately, I had to go to the workshop to get it sorted. Repair was around 1510€

Ouch, that's pricey! Sounds like I need to brace myself and take it to the workshop and prepare my wallet...Thanks so much for the advice!

I had similar issues with my 2014 Citroen C4. Check engine light, sputtering... turned out to be faulty car sensors. Have you checked those yet? What is the car mileage?
