Rifter Antenna Error
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Peugeot Rifter displayed an "Antenna Error" message, causing the audio system to cut out completely, with error codes indicating an antenna defect. The problem included poor radio signal strength and interference, suggesting a possible defective antenna ground. A suggestion was made to check the antenna cable connection to the head unit, but ultimately, a professional workshop confirmed the antenna was defective and repaired it.

Thanks! I haven't checked the physical connection yet. Where exactly is the head unit located, and is it easily accessible? I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to car audio systems, so any guidance would be appreciated.

On the Astra, it was behind the infotainment screen itself. I wouldn't recommend tearing apart your dashboard if you aren't comfortable. It's easy to break trim pieces. Given that you already have an error code pointing to a defective antenna, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop to have it checked professionally. It could save you time and potential further damage.

Understood. I took it to the workshop today, and the antenna was indeed defective. The repair cost was 255€, including parts and labor. Hopefully, this resolves the issue.

I had a similar problem with my 2019 Opel Astra, though not the same error message. The symptoms were identical: loss of FM signal, and the whole audio system would just shut down intermittently. Did you check the antenna cable connection to the head unit? That was suggested to me as a possible quick fix.
