Rifter Automatic Temperature Control Issue

I own a 2020 Peugeot Rifter with a gasoline engine and 61774 km. I am experiencing issues with the automatic temperature control. The air conditioning system does not switch on, and I have an error stored. Could this be a faulty interior temperature sensor?

I had a similar problem with my 2018 Renault Kadjar. The automatic climate control went haywire. Have you checked the sensor connections? Often, the cable or plug connection to the sensor can become defective. The sensor itself might be fine, but a bad connection will cause it to malfunction. It's worth inspecting before replacing the sensor.

Where is the interior temperature sensor located in the Peugeot Rifter? Where should I look for the cable or plug connection?

I am not familiar with the Rifter's specific layout. However, the interior temperature sensor is usually located near the steering column or in the dashboard. Given the symptoms you described, and if a defective cable or plug connection is the issue, I suggest you visit a workshop for sensor diagnostics. It sounds like the same problem I had.

Following the diagnostic at the workshop, the issue was indeed a faulty connection in the interior temperature sensor's cable. The repair cost 95€.
