Rifter Electric Seat Failure

The code didn't specifically mention the motor, more like a general 'communication error'. I'll test the battery, but why would a slightly low battery stop the seat completely?

The Rifter's electrics can be a bit sensitive. A 'slightly low' battery might prevent the seat module from initialising. But if the battery is OK, the module could be faulty, time for a workshop visit. In my case, it was indeed a bad battery.

Thanks! Battery was heavily discharged, likely defective. Replaced it, cleared the codes, and the seat's working again. Repair cost me 290€ at the local garage.

Yep, I've seen this on a Rifter before. Check your battery's health first. These seats can be sensitive to voltage drops. Was the error code related to low voltage or a seat motor fault?
