Rifter High Voltage Error

My 2023 Peugeot Rifter (electric version) is throwing a high-voltage system error after 227055 km. The error's stored, and the engine sometimes shuts off or goes into reduced power mode. Feels like a system malfunction. Anyone else seen this with an EV? I suspect the traction battery is heavily discharged or defective. I checked all electrical wirings myself for cable damage, but couldn't find any damage. Any thoughts?

Sounds rough. I had something similar happen with my old Renault Zoe, different brand, but same kind of symptoms. Error messages all over the dash, power cutting out randomly. Was yours completely bricked or could you still limp to the next charging station? Did you check the 12V battery?

Cheers for the reply! When you say 'similar', do you mean the whole shutting down thing? I can still drive, but I wouldn't call it limping, more like a very hesitant jog. What was the problem with your Zoe in the end? Where is the 12V battery located?

Yeah, the shutting down thing was the scary part. Mine ended up being a dodgy cell in the main battery pack, though it could also be the battery drain. The garage said it was causing the whole system to freak out. Given yours is newer than mine was, it might be something else, but honestly, with those symptoms, I'd get it to a proper workshop ASAP. The 12V battery location depends on the car model but should be under the hood.

Okay, thanks for sharing that. It's good to know I'm not completely alone here, even if it is a pain. I went to the workshop and they found out that the battery was indeed heavily discharged. They replaced it with a new one and I had to pay 290€ for it. The Rifter is now working again.
