Temp gauge seems normal. Coolant level looks okay too. Did yours throw up an error code, or was it just the rubbish heating? How did you figure out it was a blockage?

Mine did show an error code eventually, something to do with the heater core. I tried flushing the system myself, but it didn't really help. In the end, I took it to a workshop. They diagnosed it as a faulty water valve causing the blockage. Best bet is to get it checked out by a professional.

Appreciate the advice. Took it to the garage, and you were spot on – duff water valve. They quoted 95€ for the repair, which seems reasonable. Getting it sorted tomorrow!

I had a similar issue with my old Renault Megane. Heating was terrible, and it turned out to be a blockage in the cooling system. Is the engine temperature gauge reading normal, or is it running cooler than usual? Have you checked the engine coolant level recently?
