Yep, both mirrors are stone cold. No warmth at all, even when the rest of the car is toasty. Did yours behave the same?

Bingo! Both mine went out at the same time. Honestly, I didn't mess with it. Just took it straight to the shop. They sorted it quick enough. Probably best not to muck about with it yourself, unless you know what you're doing.

Sounds familiar! I've got a Rifter too, and had the exact same problem last winter. Is it both mirrors that are dead, or just one?
