Just the no-start, no warning lights beforehand or anything like that. When you say similar, was it a complete no-start situation for you too? And did you manage to fix it yourself, or was it a trip to the workshop?

Yeah, mine was a complete no-start one morning. Turned out to be a bad connection causing the ECU to throw a fit. Honestly, I messed around with it for an hour before giving up and taking it to a garage. Best bet is probably to get it checked out properly, could save you a lot of headache.

Turns out you were spot on! Took it to a local garage, and it turned out to be corroded battery cable connections. New connections and a bit of cleaning later, and it's starting perfectly again. Cost me 155€ all in. Thanks for the help!

I had something similar happen with my Rifter a while back. Engine control malfunction popped up, but the symptoms were slightly different. I'd double-check those battery connections really well. It might be something else, like an ECU issue, but start with the basics. Was anything else weird happening, or just a straight no-start?
