Rifter rough running and stalling
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Peugeot Rifter is experiencing rough running, stalling at idle, a check engine light, and jerking during acceleration. The suspected causes include a defective ignition coil or faulty cables or plugs. A similar issue was resolved by identifying a misfire due to a cracked spark plug lead, using an OBD2 scanner for diagnosis. It is recommended to have a mechanic diagnose and fix the problem to ensure proper resolution.

How did you identify the faulty spark plug lead? Did you use diagnostic tools, or were there other indicators?

I used an OBD2 scanner, which showed a misfire on one of the cylinders. Then, I visually inspected the spark plug leads and noticed one was cracked. Unless you're comfortable doing that sort of thing yourself, it's probably best to take it to a workshop. They can pinpoint the exact problem and fix it properly. Mine was still under warranty, thank goodness!

Thanks for the advice! I'll book an appointment with a mechanic to diagnose it properly. The repair cost 95€.

I had very similar issues not too long ago! Rough running, stalling at lights, the whole shebang. For me, it turned out to be a misfire caused by a dodgy spark plug lead. Have you checked those? It might be worth a look before replacing coils.
