Rifter Turbo Issues

My 2023 Peugeot Rifter diesel with 259002 km has a check engine light that comes on and off, jerking during acceleration, a whistling noise that turns into hissing, occasional stalling, increased fuel consumption, and reduced power. I think it might be the turbo boost pressure sensor or a bad cable. Has anyone else had these issues? Any ideas on how to check it or fix it?

I drive a Rifter diesel and had similar problems. The whistling, hissing, and jerking definitely sound like the turbo. Check the sensor and its connection like you're planning. It's like a small hole in a tire. It could be something simple.

When you had these issues, did your engine stall and did you see more fuel consumption? Did you figure out what was wrong yourself, or did you take it to a mechanic?

Yes, the stalling was definitely there, and the fuel consumption was noticeably worse. I tried to figure it out myself, but I was just guessing without the right tools. I ended up taking it to a workshop. It's best to let them handle it because it can get complicated.

Thanks for the advice. I made an appointment with a workshop for a diagnosis. It turned out to be what I thought: a faulty turbo boost pressure sensor. The cable connection was bad. The repair was 95€ including parts and labor. Thanks again for the help.
