Rifter weak battery and flickering lights

Low voltage can indeed cause those issues, but it's important to rule out other potential problems. A defective voltage sensor is a likely cause. What were the results of the vehicle diagnostics?

If the battery tests fine, then focus on the battery sensor. A multimeter can be used to check the voltage output of the sensor itself. In my case, the sensor was faulty and reporting incorrect voltage to the car's computer. That caused all sorts of weirdness. I'd advise taking it to a workshop; they'll know how to check it properly and replace it if needed.

Okay, thanks a lot for the advice! I took it to the shop, and you were right, it was indeed the battery sensor. Repair cost me 315€. All good now!
