RNessa cold start injector issue

Hey, I'm having a weird issue with my 2001 Nissan RNessa, it's got a gasoline engine and about 166k on the clock. Lately, it's been starting really rough, especially when it's cold. The engine runs poorly in the first few minutes after the start. I'm thinking it might be fuel-related. I've tried a fuel injector cleaner, but it didn't really do anything. Any ideas?

I had something similar happen with my RNessa. Does it almost feel like it's misfiring when you first start it up? It could be the cold start injector acting up. They're supposed to provide extra fuel when the engine is cold, and if it's not working right, it will definitely cause problems. I remember chasing a rough idle for ages. Maybe get the injectors tested?

Misfiring is a good way to put it! So, you're saying it was definitely the cold start injector? How did you figure that out? Did you try cleaning it or did you just replace it?

Yeah, it was a faulty injector. I took it to a workshop in the end, as I didn't have the right tools to test it properly. They ran some diagnostics and confirmed the injector was defective. Considering what you've already tried, I'd suggest a trip to a trusted workshop, they'll be able to pinpoint it.

Thanks for the help! Took it to my local mechanic and, sure enough, the cold start injector was shot. Ended up costing me 515€ to get it replaced, but it's running like a dream now. Really appreciate the insight!
