RNessa Engine Misfires
Summary of the thread
The 2000 Nissan RNessa was experiencing rough engine performance, a check engine light, and jerking acceleration, with OBD codes indicating combustion misfires. The issue was suspected to be caused by a defective injection valve or injector. After diagnostics, it was confirmed that a faulty injector was the cause, and replacing it resolved the problem, restoring smooth operation.

When you say fuel injectors, do you mean all of them, or was it just one specific injector that caused the problem for you? Also, were there any other symptoms you noticed that might help me narrow down the issue?

In my case, it turned out to be a single injector that was faulty. To be safe, it's best to get it properly diagnosed, if you don't have the tools. A workshop will be able to tell you for sure. Don't want to end up replacing everything when it's just one part.

I took it to a local mechanic, and after diagnostics, it turned out to be a defective injector, just like you suggested. Replacing it along with a cleaning cost me 515€, but the car is running smoothly again. I really appreciate you pointing me in the right direction!

I had similar symptoms in my RNessa a while back: rough running, check engine light, and jerking acceleration. Have you considered the fuel injectors? Misfires can often be traced back to them. It's like a clogged artery in your car's fuel system.
