RNessa key battery low
Summary of the thread
The issue with the 2001 Nissan RNessa was a 'key battery low' warning, leading to non-functional keyless access and locking mechanisms. The likely cause was a dead key fob battery, as indicated by the reduced range and responsiveness prior to failure. Replacing the key fob battery resolved the problem.

Yes, the key fob range got worse about a week before it completely failed. Does that sound right?

That's exactly what happened to me. It's probably just the key fob battery. I'd suggest getting it replaced at a workshop and having it reprogrammed if needed.

I replaced the key fob battery for 37€, and it fixed the problem. Thanks!

I had something similar happen with my 2018 Volvo XC60. The symptoms sound the same. Did the key fob's range or responsiveness get worse before it stopped working?
