RNessa Temperature Sensor Error

Hey, I've got a weird problem with my 2001 Nissan RNessa (gasoline engine). An error message keeps popping up on the speedometer, and the A/C won't turn on. I plugged in an OBD-II scanner, and it looks like it might be the temperature sensor in the heat exchanger. Anyone seen this before? I'm stumped.

I feel your pain. I had almost the exact same thing happen with my RNessa. The error message and the A/C issue definitely sound like the temperature sensor in the heat exchanger. The climate control unit could also be involved. Have you checked the sensor calibration or looked for any damage or corrosion in the wiring harness? That might give you some clues.

Thanks for the quick reply! I hadn't thought about the climate control unit. When you had this, did the error code specifically mention the temperature sensor, or was it vague? Also, was your temperature gauge acting strange?

My error code pointed directly to the heat exchanger temperature sensor. The temperature gauge was a bit erratic, but not all the time. With the error code, the message, and the A/C problem, it's probably the same issue. If you're not comfortable doing the work yourself, you might want to get a professional to take a look. I ended up paying almost 1000€ at the shop to get it fixed.

Thanks a lot for the help! That really clears things up. I'm going to take it to a local shop to get the temperature sensor checked, and maybe the A/C control unit too. Sounds like it'll be around 980€, which seems fair. Glad to have a better idea of what's going on.
