Rogue Camshaft Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Nissan Rogue is experiencing poor engine start and reduced power, with a diagnostic error pointing to the camshaft sensor. The issue might be due to a defective cable or plug connection. A similar case was resolved by checking and cleaning the sensor connections, which were found to be loose or corroded. The recommended solution is to have a professional inspect and clean the camshaft sensor connections, which can be a quick and cost-effective fix.

Thanks! When you had this, did your car exhibit the same symptoms? And did the error memory also point to the camshaft sensor specifically?

Yes, exactly the same symptoms. The error memory pointed directly to the camshaft sensor as well. I would suggest you visit your workshop. My local garage confirmed the issue, and it was indeed the camshaft sensor connection, cleaned within an hour, and did not cost much.

Okay, I appreciate the confirmation. I'll take your advice and get it checked out by a professional. Turns out it was the camshaft sensor, cleaned the connection. The repair cost was 95€. Thank you!

I had a similar issue with my Nissan Rogue. I remember the camshaft position being mentioned. It's possible that a crankshaft issue might also be involved. Have you checked the sensor connections thoroughly? Sometimes it's just a loose or corroded connection causing the error.
