Rogue Exhaust Leak

My 2013 Nissan Rogue with a gasoline engine has a check engine light, reduced power, and increased fuel consumption at 201504 km. Diagnostics say it's the exhaust temperature sensor, but I suspect an exhaust leak. Anyone seen this?

Interesting. I had something similar with my Rogue: check engine light, power loss, and bad fuel economy. I also thought about the exhaust temperature sensor, but not a leak. What made you think of that?

The report said sensor malfunction, but the symptoms seemed bigger. I checked the exhaust and saw corrosion, so I think a small leak is messing with the sensor. Did you ever find the problem?

Yes, it was a small crack in the exhaust manifold, hard to see at first. The sensor was fine, but the leak made it read wrong temperatures. Get your exhaust checked professionally. It's likely the same. Better safe than sorry.

Thanks for the insight. I had it inspected, and there was a small crack near the manifold, like you said. Replacing it and the sensor (it was probably damaged) cost 265€. The car runs great now. Your experience was invaluable.
