Rogue Hybrid Oxygen Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Nissan Rogue Hybrid with over 233,981 kilometers is experiencing a check engine light and increased fuel consumption, suspected to be due to an oxygen sensor issue, possibly a defective cable or plug. Another owner with a similar issue suggested checking the sensor's connector for corrosion or damage. After professional diagnosis, the problem was confirmed to be a defective cable connection in the oxygen sensor, which was repaired at a workshop.

Thanks, I appreciate you sharing. I checked the connector, but I didn't see corrosion or damage. What diagnostic steps did you take to identify the O2 sensor? I have an automotive sensor diagnostic tool.

My diagnostic tool pointed to the oxygen sensor. I didn't look into it deeply. Given your hybrid engine, I'd advise a qualified workshop for a thorough diagnostic exam. It could save time and misdiagnosis. The O2 sensor replacement took less than half an hour.

Thanks for the advice to seek professional help. I brought it to a trusted workshop. The issue was the oxygen sensor, specifically the cable connection, which had a defect as suspected. The repair, parts and labor, cost 95€.

I own a Nissan Rogue, not the hybrid. Your symptoms sound familiar. Check engine light and increased fuel usage. I thought it was the catalytic converter, but it was a faulty O2 sensor. Did you check the sensor's connector for corrosion or damage? That was my problem.
