Rogue uneven idle and engine mount
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Nissan Rogue is experiencing uneven idling and a check engine light, raising concerns about a potential defective engine mount. The issue might be linked to a slightly corroded cable near the rubber mount, which could indicate underlying problems. It is suggested to have a mechanic inspect the vehicle, as similar symptoms in another car were resolved by addressing a worn engine mount. Scheduling a professional evaluation is recommended to confirm the cause and proceed with necessary repairs.

Interesting. I've never actually dealt with engine mounts before. Where exactly should I be looking for this "mount wear"? I just saw a slightly corroded cable near the rubber mount. Could that be it?

Ah, the corroded cable is unlikely to be the whole story, but it is definitely a sign of underlying problems. I ignored a similar cable issue on my Astra, and it compounded the motor mount wear problem. The rubber mount eventually failed completely. I'd highly recommend getting a mechanic to take a closer look. It is probably a defective engine mount. Don't wait!

Thanks for the insight! I appreciate you sharing your experience with your Opel. I'll schedule an appointment with the workshop to get it checked out. They quoted me 95€ for the repair, which seems reasonable. Hopefully, it will be fixed soon. Thanks again!

Uneven idling and error codes can be tricky. I had a similar experience with my old Opel Astra. Rough idling and the engine felt like it was going to jump out of the hood. Turned out to be a completely shot engine mount! When was the last time you checked your mount wear?
