Rollover sensor malfunction
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Lexus SC is experiencing a constantly lit airbag warning lamp, with an error memory indicating a rollover sensor malfunction. The issue is suspected to be a defective control unit. A similar case was resolved by replacing the faulty control unit related to the rollover sensor, suggesting that taking the vehicle to a workshop for confirmation and potential replacement is a recommended solution.

Thanks for the quick reply! No, it's only the airbag light and the rollover sensor error. No other issues. What was the problem in your case? Was it definitely the rollover sensor?

Yeah, in my case, it was indeed a faulty control unit related to the rollover sensor. Ended up taking it to a workshop. They confirmed it and replaced the unit. It cost around 1000€. I suggest you do the same.

Thanks, that's really helpful! I'll take it to a workshop and have them check the control unit. Sounds like that's the most likely culprit. Hopefully, it will solve the problem.

I had something similar happen in my SC. Is it giving you any other weird readings, or just the airbag light and the rollover sensor error? Mine was doing the same thing, but also affecting other safety systems. Pretty annoying!
