Roox antenna issues

I have a 2011 Nissan Roox with a gasoline engine. Lately, I've encountered an odd issue. There's an error stored in the memory related to what I believe is the bumper antenna. Now, the unlocking/locking is unreliable, and the engine won't start without the key physically in the ignition. Could a defective cable or plug connection actually cause this?

Wow, that sounds eerily familiar! I have a Roox as well, and experienced something similar a while back. The symptoms are almost identical. I had issues with the central locking and keyless start, plus weird radio signal problems. Did you check the antenna mount? It's a common point of failure, I think. I also had some weird messages in the error log. Could be a damaged vehicle antenna.

Yep, it was definitely the antenna setup that caused all the issues, including starting. The system seems to rely on it for multiple functions. Honestly, I wouldn't mess with it too much yourself if you're not 100% sure. I took mine to a workshop, and they sorted it out pretty quickly. Cost me around 100€ if I remember correctly. Best to have it checked professionally.
