Roox Driving Mode and System Errors
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Nissan Roox is experiencing sporadic driving mode errors and system failures, including audio/navigation shutdowns, with the malfunction indicator lamp intermittently activating. Diagnostic scans reveal CAN bus errors, suggesting potential issues with the vehicle's communication system. A similar case was resolved by addressing a faulty cable connection to the control unit, indicating that checking and repairing cable connections to the BUS system may be a viable solution.

Yes, the diagnostic reports indicate CAN bus errors. Could you tell me more about the errors you encountered?

Yeah, mine was spitting out all sorts of random errors, mostly relating to modules dropping off the bus. Turned out to be a dodgy connection on one of the control units. Might be worth getting your local workshop to check the cable connections to the BUS system.

I appreciate the insight. Your description matches my thoughts. I'll check the cable connections, and get a technician if needed. It was a defective cable connection to the control unit (connection to the BUS system). The repair cost was 155€.

Sounds familiar. I've got a Roox too, and went through something similar last year. Was it throwing up a load of CAN bus errors?
