Roox Gear Shift Indicator Failure

My 2010 Nissan Roox with a gasoline engine is having gear shift issues at 61875 km. The gears won't engage, the automatic transmission shifts weirdly, shifts are slipping and rough, there are grinding noises when shifting, an error is stored, and the gear selection display in the speedometer is dead. I think it's the control unit. Has anyone else seen this?

I own a Nissan Roox too and this sounds familiar. Did it happen suddenly or gradually? Any other symptoms before it died, like noises or vibrations? Maybe it's just the shift knob, but that's a guess.

It was sudden, no noises or vibrations beforehand. The gear shift indicator just quit, and all the other problems started at the same time. Was the control unit the problem for you?

Yeah, that's really similar to what happened to me. The shop said it was a bad control unit after a lot of testing, so that could be it. Get it checked by a mechanic to be sure. Don't try to DIY it.

Thanks, I'll get it diagnosed by a pro. Sounds like a control unit replacement is likely. Appreciate the help.
