Rough Idle and Jerking Acceleration
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Ford BMAX with a gasoline engine is experiencing rough idling, stalling, and jerking during acceleration, with the check engine light on. The initial suspicion of faulty spark plugs was ruled out. A suggestion was made to check the ignition coil, which was confirmed as the issue by a mechanic. Replacing the ignition coil resolved the problem, restoring the vehicle's performance.

Thanks! How did you figure out it was the ignition coil? And where exactly is it located?

My mechanic diagnosed it. Likely a defective cable or plug connection. It's best to get it checked to be sure, but that was my experience.

Thanks, that's helpful! I took it to the workshop, and it was indeed the ignition coil. Cost me 95€ to replace. Runs like new now!

Sounds familiar. I had similar issues with my Ford Focus. Turned out to be the ignition coil. Have you checked that?
