RX Hybrid Coolant Loss

Thanks for the quick reply! I did a quick visual check of the hoses, but I'll take a closer look for weeping. Coolant smell is faint, but possibly there. Regarding air pockets, is there a specific procedure to bleed the system on these RX hybrids?

Okay, faint coolant smell is definitely a clue. Honestly, with the hybrid system, I'm hesitant to give specific advice on bleeding the system because it may differ from a traditional engine. It's probably best to take it to a reputable mechanic, especially with the hybrid component. They can pressure test the system and pinpoint the exact location of the leak, and properly bleed it afterwards.

Thanks for the advice. Took it to the shop, pressure test revealed a tiny leak in one of the radiator hoses. Replaced it, system bled, and all good now. Total cost was 52€.

Hey there! That sounds familiar. I had a similar coolant issue with my old Volvo V70. Check engine light, low coolant... the works. Have you checked the radiator hoses for any signs of weeping or small cracks? Is there any sign of coolant smell, especially after the engine warms up? Just curious if it's something simple like a hose or maybe even just air pockets in the system.
