RX Mirror Heating Defect
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Lexus RX owner reported a defect in the mirror heating system, with neither side functioning and an error stored in the error memory. The issue was suspected to be a faulty connection. After checking the fuses and confirming the temperature was low enough for activation, the problem was identified as a defective plug connection within the mirror assembly. The issue was resolved at a workshop, confirming the initial suspicion of a connection fault.

Thanks for the reply. I checked the fuses; they seem fine. Regarding the temperature threshold, I'm quite sure it was cold enough. Do you recall if your issue was also intermittent, or did the mirrors just completely stop heating?

Mine failed completely. It wasn't intermittent at all. Given that you've checked the fuses and the temperature is low enough, and considering the error code, it does point to a potential wiring or connector issue within the mirror assembly itself. At this point, I'd suggest having a workshop take a look before you start dismantling things yourself. It could save you time and prevent further damage.

Appreciate the advice. I took it to the workshop, and it was indeed a defective plug connection. The repair cost 95€. Thanks again for confirming my suspicions.

I had a similar issue with my RX. I didn't check the error memory, but the mirrors simply wouldn't heat up, especially noticeable during winter driving. Did you check the fuses related to the mirror heating circuit? Also, are you sure the outside temperature is low enough for the heating to activate? Some models have a temperature threshold.
