That's interesting. I hadn't considered the battery since it's a hybrid. Could a low battery cause only a passenger seat malfunction while the rest of the car is normal? The car was sitting for two weeks while I was traveling.

Modern cars are super sensitive to voltage drops. The seat control module probably threw a fit because of low voltage. If the car was sitting for a while, the battery might be the issue. I'd get the battery checked out at a workshop. It's a pretty cheap check, but it might save you hours of fault tracing.

I took the vehicle to my mechanic. You were spot on! The battery was the issue. After replacement and clearing the error codes, the seat functions perfectly. The total repair cost, including the new battery and labor, came to 290€.

I had a similar problem with my old BMW 5 series. The electric seat stopped working, and there was an error code. Have you checked the battery condition? In my case, a heavily discharged battery caused all sorts of weird electrical issues, including the seat.
