RX radio signal issues

Anyone else experiencing radio signal issues with their Lexus RX? I have a 2017 RX hybrid, and recently the radio reception has gone haywire. I keep getting an error message on the infotainment system, sometimes the whole audio system just cuts out. The car's thrown a code too, which seems to point towards the antenna being defective. Pretty sure it's not just bad luck with FM signal around here.

Whoa, sounds familiar! I've got an RX too, and had similar problems a while back. Was the reception just weak, or were you getting a lot of static too? Did you check the connection to the antenna base?

Yeah, lots of static, and the signal strength is all over the place. Where exactly is the antenna base located? Is it easy to get to, or am I going to need special tools?

Okay, that's almost exactly what I was experiencing. The antenna base is a pain to get to, it's under the headliner. Honestly, unless you're really comfortable messing with that kind of thing, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. Could save you a bigger headache.
