S Klasse Air Suspension Problems

My 2016 Mercedes S Klasse hybrid with 288520 km won't lift and is leaning. I'm getting error messages and the headlights seem off. Could this be the air suspension?

Sounds like a potential air suspension issue. I had a similar problem with my S Klasse, though it's an older model. The symptoms you describe, the car leaning, error messages, and headlight issues, are classic signs. It could be a problem with the air struts, or even air leaks. When the load leveling malfunctions, it throws everything off. Have you checked for any obvious signs of damage to the air lines or the compressor? Also, make sure the compressor is running. I believe that the error code you are seeing could indicate a problem with the compressor.

Thanks for the reply. What exactly do you mean by 'compressor running'? How can I check that?

Sure thing. When I say 'compressor running', I mean is the air suspension compressor actually turning on and trying to inflate the system? You should be able to hear it briefly when you start the car or when the car is trying to adjust its height. If it's completely silent, that could indicate a problem. However, based on what you've described, it's probably best to take it to a workshop. They can properly diagnose if it's a defective cable or plug connection, or something else entirely. It may be a simple fix, but without the right tools and knowledge, you might end up causing more damage. Air leaks can also be difficult to pinpoint without proper equipment.

I took the car to the workshop, and it turned out to be a defective plug connection to the air suspension compressor, just as you suspected. The repair cost was 95€. Thanks for your help!
