S10 Oxygen Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Chevrolet S10 diesel is experiencing a check engine light and increased fuel consumption, with a diagnostic pointing to an oxygen sensor issue. The problem may stem from a faulty sensor or a suspicious exhaust sensor connection. It is suggested to have the sensor checked or replaced by a professional rather than attempting a DIY fix, as a similar case was resolved by replacing the faulty sensor.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

I just wiggled the connections. I didn't remove the exhaust sensor. I was going to use contact cleaner. Do you have the same engine? How did you solve it?

Yeah, same diesel. I wouldn't use contact cleaner yet; it could be the sensor. I took mine to the workshop. They said it was a faulty oxygen sensor. Much easier than tearing apart the car!

Okay, good to know. I'll take it in. The part is only 95€ online, so hopefully, it won't be too expensive. Thanks!

Sounds familiar. I've got an S10 and had similar issues: check engine light, rough idle, and bad gas mileage. Did you check the sensor itself, or just the connections?
