S2000 Cranks But Wont Start

My 2006 Honda S2000 with a gasoline engine won't start, it just cranks. It has 120039 km. I've checked fuel, but I suspect an engine control malfunction. Is this a common issue?

Hey! I had a similar problem with my S2000 a while back. Check your battery cable connections first. Sounds stupid simple, but that was it in my case. Are they clean and tight? Is there any corrosion? When you turn the key, does the engine light come on?

Yeah, the engine light did come on, which sent me down the wrong path initially thinking it was a fuel injection or ECU issue. But no, I just got lucky. Before spending money on diagnostics, double-check those connections, and if that doesn't fix it, I recommend a visit to a trusted workshop for proper engine diagnostics.
