S40 AC not cooling
Summary of the thread
The 2001 Volvo S40's air conditioning system is not cooling, and the system doesn't activate. The temperature control and blower motor have been checked and appear functional. A potential cause could be a faulty pressure switch, which might require professional inspection and repair. It's advised to consult a workshop to address the issue, considering the complexity of AC systems and potential refrigerant leaks.

Thanks for the suggestion! Where is the pressure switch located, and is it something I can test myself without special equipment?

Honestly, I'm no expert. I just remember the mechanic mentioning it. It's best to get it checked at a workshop; these AC systems can be tricky, and refrigerant leaks are no fun. Could be individual valves in the AC system.

Okay, thanks for the advice. I'll take it to a workshop and mention the pressure switch and valves as a possible cause. I expect the eventual repair cost to be around 1000€

Hey, I had a similar problem with my S40. Turned out to be a faulty pressure switch causing the whole system to shut down. Have you checked that?
