Thanks! Where exactly should I be looking? Is it difficult to get to the connection points in the steering column? I'm not super experienced with car repairs.

I suggest you take it to a workshop. I needed help from a professional. The error memory said that the cable or the plug connection of the component was defective. They charged 95€.

Thanks for the advice! I was hoping it was something simple, but I guess I'll have to take it to a shop. At least I have an idea of what to tell them to look for.

I had a similar problem with my S40. It turned out to be a faulty connection in the steering column. Have you checked the cable and plug connections thoroughly? It might be worth inspecting them for any signs of damage or corrosion.
