S40 Multifunction Steering Wheel Failure

Hi, I have a 2006 Volvo S40 diesel with 161035 km. Recently, the multifunction steering wheel stopped working. None of the buttons respond, and I've got an error showing up. I scanned the car, and there's an error stored related to the steering wheel controls. Any ideas?

I had a similar issue with my S40. Check the cable connection inside the steering wheel. That was my problem.

I brought it to a workshop. They confirmed the cable connection was defective. It’s probably best to get it checked by a professional to be sure.

Took it to a shop, and you were right! Faulty cable connection in the steering wheel. Repair cost 95€. Thanks for the help!
