S40 rear sunblind stuck

Hey, my 2009 Volvo S40 with a diesel engine is giving me grief. The sunblind in the back is totally stuck. It won't retract or extend, just jammed in one spot, and there's even an error code showing up now. I'm guessing it's the motor, anyone else run into this?

Huh, sounds familiar. I've got a Volvo S40 too, though I can't recall the exact year. My sunblind acted up a while back. Did you check for any obvious obstructions or anything blocking its path? Could be something simple stuck in the tracks.

Yeah, I had a look, didn't see anything obvious. Do you remember what your issue ended up being?

Well, after fiddling with it for way too long, I just gave up and took it to a workshop. Turns out the motor was dead. Honestly, save yourself the headache and let the pros handle it. It wasn't cheap, but at least it's working again.

Cheers. I was hoping it was something simple, but sounds like I'm heading to the shop. Got a quote for around 330€, so not the end of the world. Thanks for the heads up!
