S40 Solar Sensor Fault

Well, in my case with the Citroen, the readings were consistently outside the norm, even after recalibration. It was clear something was fundamentally wrong. After a lot of head-scratching, my mechanic pinpointed it to a faulty connection, just like your diagnostics suggest. Honestly, tracing those wires is a pain. Given your symptoms and the error code, and considering my own frustrating experience, I'd suggest a thorough check of the wiring harness and connectors.
