S60 Cruise Control Failure

Hi, I've got a 2016 Volvo S60 hybrid and the cruise control has suddenly stopped working. An error message pops up in the speedometer, and the cruise control is totally unresponsive. I even plugged in an OBD scanner, and it's showing an error stored in the memory related to the cruise control system. I've checked the fuses that seem relevant, but no luck. Any ideas?

Sounds frustrating! I had a similar issue with my old BMW 3 Series. Same symptoms – error message, cruise control dead. Turned out to be a corroded connector in the fuse box. Have you checked the cable and plug connections to the cruise control module itself? Could be a defective connection there.

Thanks for the tip! Where exactly is the cruise control module located in the S60, and how difficult is it to get to the cable and plug connections? I'm reasonably handy, but I don't want to start tearing things apart if it's super complicated.

Okay, on my BMW it was under the driver-side dashboard, a real pain to get to. I'm not sure on your Volvo, but I'd check the manual or a Volvo forum for the exact location. If you're not comfortable poking around with the car electronics, I'd honestly recommend taking it to a workshop. I ended up doing that, and they sorted it out pretty quickly.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice! I took it to a local workshop, and you were spot on. They found a defective cable/plug connection. Repair cost me 95€. Cruise control is working again!
