S60 Defrost Air Distribution Flap Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Volvo S60 diesel is experiencing issues with the defrost air distribution flap, resulting in reduced heat output and a stored error. The problem is suspected to be a bad cable or plug on the flap. Initial suggestions include checking the fuse for the climate control system, as a blown fuse could be the cause. If the fuse is intact, further diagnostics at a workshop are recommended, which ultimately revealed a faulty connection.

Thanks! I haven't checked the fuses yet, but I will now. If the fuse is okay, what should I do next?

If the fuse is fine, you'll need more advanced diagnostics. Since you suspect a bad cable or plug, I'd take it to a good workshop. They'll have the tools to figure it out.

Just got the S60 back from the shop. It was a faulty connection, like I thought. Cost 95€. Thanks for the help!

I've seen this before. Low heat and a stored error usually means that flap motor or its wiring. Did you check the fuse for the climate control system? Sometimes a blown fuse causes this, and it's easy to check.
